Flip a Coin
Heads or tails? Tap the coin for a fair 50/50 toss and keep count of every result.
Tap the coin to flip
Heads or tails, settled in a second
Tap the coin, press Flip or hit the Space bar. The coin spins, lands and shows H for heads or T for tails. Every result is counted so you can see the heads percentage and your longest streak, and the coloured dots show your recent history.
Flip several coins at once
Choose 2, 3, 5 or 10 coins to run probability experiments, play coin games or teach chance in class. Flip ten coins a few times and you will see the heads percentage move closer to 50% — the law of large numbers in action.
Is a virtual coin toss fair?
Yes. A real coin can be slightly biased by how it is thrown, but this one uses a cryptographic random source, so both sides have exactly the same chance every time. For other quick decisions try the spin wheel, dice roller, random number generator or the decision maker.
Frequently asked questions
Is this coin flip fair?
Yes. Each toss uses your browser's secure random generator, so heads and tails each have exactly a 50% chance, independent of earlier flips.
Can I flip more than one coin?
Yes. Choose 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 coins and they all flip together. The counter shows how many landed heads and tails.
What is the longest streak I can expect?
In 100 flips a streak of 5 to 7 of the same side is normal. Long streaks feel unlikely but happen often with real coins too.
Can I use it to settle a decision?
Yes — that is what it is for. Decide which side means what before you flip, then tap the coin or press Space.
Does it keep my stats?
Totals and your longest streak are kept for this visit. Press Reset to start counting again.
Is there a keyboard shortcut?
